I am going to work very hard the next week to transition to a Paleo lifestyle...not a diet...a lifestyle. I have been gluten free for 7 months, I eat right, I work out, but something still feels wrong. I feel unbalanced, not normal, not myself. My good friend from Clark University, Victoria, has been following a Paleo lifestyle for 2 years now and she says that she has completely changed - inside and out. She lost a lot of weight and feels more confident in herself! She sleeps normally, laughs, smiles, and she does things for herself instead of for others. Lifestyle is all about the choices we make and food is the biggest choice we all make, and we make choices about food multiple times per day, so changing what we eat, how we eat and how we see food can change everything about ourselves.
For the colonic, I am supposed to cut out beans, legumes, dairy and grains which is basically Paleo. I am going to follow this meal plan for the colonic but plan to continue it afterwards and begin my journey to a Paleo lifestle. Hopefully this change will help shift my moods and my inbalances and make me a more well rounded and healthy human being. I want to be the best version of myself and changing my eating habits will play a large part in this!
Paleo would mean no calorie counting, no points calculating, but focusing on the natural foods I put into my body! My one sadness is no more egg white and oatmeal pancakes because oats are a grain. Fresh omelettes, coffee chocolate chia puddings, bacon, frittata's...there are so many great breakfast options, I just have to figure out how to make them work for me since I eat breakfast at work most days when I do Bar Method in the morning!
I am ready and excited to begin this new chapter in my life!
XO
